- License award for Peru
- Relocation of headquarters of Admiral Sportwetten GmbH to Novomatic Street 1 in Gumpoldskirchen
- Foundation of Advanced Technology Systems International S.A. (ATSI) in Poland emerging from a close cooperation with Cracow University of Engineering
- Opening of ATSI's facilities in Cracow, Poland
- Three further licences in the Republic of South Africa

2001

- Astra Games Ltd. and the Canadian provider of gaming software to the online gaming industry Chartwell Technology Inc. sign a two-year agreement under the terms of which Chartwell will offer the complete catalogue of Novomatic games from Astra online
